How to Make The Best Pizza

The one, most important thing I’ve found when making homemade pizzas is a good oven. For years I’ve tried so many different tools. I’ve tried a cookie sheet, the grill, baking steel, a pizza stone, and other countless amounts of equiptment. Nothing seemed to get the bottom to cook like a restaurant’s, and the crust never seemed to get crispy–except for the Uuni pizza oven. I found out about Uuni a little over 6 months ago, and it has been absolutely fantastic. It solved every problem that I had with the other equipment, by getting the crust super crispy, and the cheese and toppings cooked through nice and evenly. The best part–it cooks pizza in literally 90 seconds. It’s unbelievable.

For this recipe, you should definitely pick up the new Uuni Pro, and try it out! Not only does it cook pizzas, but you can also makes cook meats, fish, breads, vegetables and even desserts.

Pizza Dough

I’ve used this pizza dough for a long time now, and it is by far the best recipe I’ve tried. I totally recommend it to start, and from there, you can adjust some of the salt and yeast levels, as well as some other spices you might enjoy in the dough.

Pizza Sauce

-4 fresh roma tomatoes; diced, and crushed

-Fresh oregano; finely minced; to taste

Tellicherry Pepper; to taste

Icelandic Sea Salt; to taste

(The Tellicherry Pepper, and Icelandic Sea Salt are from my dad’s spice company, and they are outstanding. I totally recommend trying these. So aromatic, and burst with an outstanding flavor.)

-Onion powder; to taste

-2 tbsp grated fresh parmigiano reggiano

-BelGioioso or Buf cheese; ripped into medium sized chunks, or cut into thin round circles

-Provolone cheese; use half the amount of provolone cheese to BelGioioso/Buf cheese

-3 Tbsp of freshly grated parmigiano reggiano

After making the dough and stretching it out, spoon over enough sauce to cover the pizza dough, but be sure to leave a little room near the sides of the crusts so it doesn’t end up seeping out. Next, sprinkle the three cheeses on the pizza. Grind some fresh pepper over it, and drizzle a little bit of extra virgin olive oil on top of it. Be sure to add any toppings of your liking now as well.

After your Uuni oven has been preheating for 15-20 minutes, you’re all set to go. Slide in your pizza, rotate it every so often, and after 90 seconds, you’ve got yourself a restaurant-quality pizza.

Enjoy! (The picture below is the older version of the oven. The new one looks amazing. It’s so much bigger, and has tons of improvements! Again, you can pick one up here, and read more about it as well:–2/x/15987385#/)

It’s the best price now, since it’s for preorder, so I highly recommend picking one up!
